5 Months Old!

Isabelle and Olivia are 5 months old today!!!  They are so much fun.  Isabelle has become a little Chatty Cathy.  She talks all day long.  Olivia absolutely loves her play mat.  It's so fun to see her discover the toys on it.  At their last doctor's appt. they weighed 10 lbs and 7 ounces and Isabelle was 21 and 1/3 inches and Olivia was 22 inches.  Their doctor said they are doing awesome and that I could start feeding them some rice cereal in October.  I'm not going to lie....I have mixed feelings about it.  I love to see them grow and do new things but it also makes me a little sad because I feel like they are growing so fast.

4 Months Old!

Isabelle at 4 months
Olivia at 4 months
Isabelle and Oliva are 4 months old today.  It's amazing to see how fast they are growing.  They have been sleeping through the night for a month now which I greatly appreciate.  They go to sleep at about 10:30 and sleep until 6:30 or 7:00.  Isabelle still loves to sleep a lot more during the day than Olivia but she is staying awake a lot more during the day.  They are smiling a lot more and they love to "talk" to anyone who talks to them.  They have also discovered their tongues and they love to show them off.  They have also started to mimic people, if you stick out your tongue they will do the same.  It is so much fun being home with them and watching them grow and discover the world around them.

Isabelle and Olivia's Blessing

Jase blessed Isabelle and Olivia this past Sunday.  Jase was really really nervous (who can blame him) about blessing the girls but he did such a great job.  I am so grateful that Jase is a worthy priesthood holder and was able to bless them.  The spirit was definitely there and I know our girls will grow up to be great women.  Our cousin wrote down what Jase said in the blessing and gave it to us after church.  That is definitely something we all will cherish and when the girls get older they will love to read.  After the blessing we went to the Draper park and had a little luncheon with the family that came to support us.  Thanks again to all the family that came and supported us and helped with the luncheon.

College Football

Jase has many loves in his life his loving wife and two beautiful daughters but when the weather starts to cool we just might be pushed to the back burner because college football is upon us.  He has been counting down to cougar football for months.  Here's hoping for a great season.  Go Cougars!

Looks like we're raising our girls right

Jackson Hole and Yellowstone

Jase, me and the girls went to Jackson Hole and Yellowstone with his family this past weekend.  We left Friday for Jackson Hole and after a very long day (car problems) we finally made it.  The girls were amazing the whole time they were in the car.  We did some shopping in Jackson, went down the alpine slides and took an old fashioned family picture.  We left for Yellowstone and Bear World on Sunday.  We saw quite a few animals and of course what would a trip to Yellowstone be like without seeing Old Faithful.  We started to head home on Monday and stopped at Bear World.  The whole trip was really fun but traveling with two 3 month old babies is a chore.  Thankfully, we had lots of family to help us out.

3 Months Old

Isabelle and Olivia turned 3 months yesterday.  The time has flown by.  They are still in newborn clothes and diapers but thet are growing fast.  Olivia rolls from her belly to back when I put her on tummy time and Isabelle usually just falls asleep.  She will lift her head occasionally but she mostly just sleeps.  They will sleep 4-5 hours a night which has been really nice for me.   Olivia loves to look and smile at her dad.  She just smiled at me for the first time yesterday.   Isabelle smiled at me about a week ago and then started smiling at her grandparents and aunt Julie on Friday.

Happy Anniversary!

Jase and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary on Saturday.  What a year it's been!  I don't think a lot of people can say they spent 3 months of their first year of marriage at the hospital but we sure can.  It's been an amazing/interesting year and it's gone by so so fast.  We dropped Isabelle and Olivia off at the Osborne's so we could go to dinner and to the Anniversary Inn.  It was so nice to get away and just spend time together. (although I was rather anxious to get home the next morning to pick the girls up)  We stayed in the Treasure Island room which we loved.  Here are a couple goofy pics from there.

We're Home!

Isabelle came home Monday, June 27th and Olivia came home Sunday July 3rd.  It has been so good to have them home.  We took them to the pediatrician and Isabelle weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and Olivia weighed 7 lbs. even.  They are good little eaters and we have tried to stay on the schedule that the NICU nurses had them on.  We have had a couple rough days (due to getting shots I think) but for the most part they are great little babies.  Here are a couple pics of them being home.
This is Olivia's first day home and our first picture together post NICU.

Here is a picture of my parents new grandkids that were born this year.

Here we are on the 4th of July in our cute dresses.

Introducing......Isabelle and Oliva Osborne!

Isabelle and Olivia decided to give me the best mother's day present ever....being a mom.  They were born May 8, 2011 at 31 weeks.  Isabelle weighed 3 pounds 11 ounces and Olivia 3 pounds 4 ounces.  They were on a ventilator for a day and then on oxygen for a couple weeks.  They graduated a couple weeks ago and had their feeding tubes taken out.  They now take all their feedings by bottle and they LOVE to eat.  Once they get their suck swallow breath coordination down they can come home.  Jase and I are very anxious to get them home.  It has been a very long 7 weeks.  Here are a couple pictures of them.  Enjoy!
